The extremely popular, classic-looking, world-building game or whatever you call it, Minecraft, just set a record of surpassing 3 millions sales in its debut on Xbox 360 consoles in just a short period of time. Just proves how much people love this game.

A tweet coming from the Notch Persson, the founder of Mojang – maker of the game, said “I got told Minecraft for XBLA passed three million sales today!”. An Xbox version of the game was released on May 9.

Xbox 360 Becomes Top One in Opposing US Video-Game Industry Failure

In the previous month, Xbox 360 of Microsoft was the top selling video-game console in the United States bucking a software-led refuse that saw industry sales slouch to their lowest since October 2006.

Microsoft said in an e-mailed report that the sales of Xbox 360 augmented to 39% of 270,000 units from a year before, Redmond, Washington-based, citing industry tracker NPD Group Inc. Sony Corp.
