HTC Considers Acquiring Own Mobile OS

When Google bought Motorola Mobility, Andy Rubin, the Senior Vice President said that their vision of Android remains untouched. He repeatedly emphasized the fact that Android was an open platform and welcomes any ideas to all their partners to develop and distribute innovative devices powered with Android. However, HTC is not convinced about this and they believe that Google acquisition of Motorola Mobility puts them in direct competition. According to reports coming from  Taiwan’s Central News Agency, HTC is up to their new plans and confirmed that they are thinking of acquiring their own mobile operating system.

Google’s Seoul Office Raided by Regulators

The Korean Fair Trade Commission raided Google Inc. office in Seoul on Tuesday, Korea in association with the reported unfair trade in mobile search engine market in South Korea, according to the person with the very familiar knowledge of the matter on Wednesday, but he declined in giving further details on the raid.

NHN Corp., Local Internet portal operators and Daum Communications Corp. filed a complaint with the FTC last April against Google for allegedly restraining their access to smartphones that are handling the Android operating system.
