Apple and Samsung maintain their dominant ranks in smartphone market.
A recent report from Canaccord Genuity presented a survey that indicated smartphone sales are greater for smartphones from Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. The survey was said to be conducted in February in wireless stores. Even though February sales are weaker compared to December sales, the two domineering smartphone giants still got the top two spots in the market share positions.

A new iPad for 2013?
Rumors are spreading that Apple may be coming out with new iPad models this year, and it could be as early as March. This could be frustrating if you have just bought the new iPad mini.
According to Brian White, an analyst from Topeka Capital Markets, based on the information from the electronics trade show last week, he is expecting that the tech giant will be producing new versions of the newly released iPad Mini and iPad by March of this year.

LG Electronics, one of the smartphone makers, has ceased its operation of producing Windows Phone Units for now and will focus more on phones running on Android, based on the reports.
Reported by Korea Herald on Monday, the South-Korea based company will back off from producing phones on Windows platform but still have plans to continue the studies and developments on the Microsoft OS, did not indicate though if this is because of the increasing demand on Android based phones or not.

An “upcoming releases” flyer for the UK arm of retailer Blockbuster has apparently verified the release date of the PlayStation Vita, Sony’s upcoming replacement to the PSP. The document, sent to IGN by an unknown UK gamer, suggests that the Vita will drop on October 28, 2011, in the UK at least, in both WiFi only and 3G+ WiFi forms
