HTC Corp Hits Record Low Revenue in the First Quarter of 2013

Taiwan’s largest smartphone manufacturer, HTC, has reported their lowest quarterly revenue. According to analyst, this is due to the delayed release of their latest flagship smartphone, the HTC One, that caused the company not to reach their profit target.

In the first quarter of 2013, HTC’s net income decreased 2.8 million USD or 85 million NTD. This is the sixth plunged of revenue said HTC Corp. yesterday in their income report.

BlackBerry Z10, the recently released smartphone from RIM, had its latest boost in stock after Chief Executive Officer Thorsten Heins stated that the new BB Z10 are off to a good start in Canada, its hometown.

On Wednesday, Heins noted in a keen statement that the new smartphones had a record-high on its very first day of release in Canada. BlackBerry Z10 sales surged to over fifty percent. Rumor Says RIM Gets BlackBerry Music Service

Research In Motion (RIM) is reported to be in negotiations with major record labels to open its own BlackBerry music service that would combine with the well known BlackBerry Messenger service.

The planned service, reported by Cnet and Bloomberg, will let Blackberry users to listen to and share music with friends they talk with through BlackBerry Messanger.
