Mac OS X users have been cautioned to be careful of a latest difference of the Mac Defender “scareware”.

MacGuard is extra dangerous than Mac Defender and some prior variations, consisting of Mac Protector and Mac Security as it does not need an administrator password to install, according to experts at security firm Intego.
