Over-the-phone Password Resets Suspended by Apple to Avoid Hackers

According to Apple employees, on Tuesday, the company regulated its support staff to instantly put an end in processing AppleID password changes asked for over the telephone, right after identity hacking of Mat Honan, a Wired reporter, over the past weekend.

According to an anonymous employee of Apple with the knowldege of the situation, notified Wired that the over-the-phone password freeze would only last for one day. The worker supposed that the planned freeze was set up to provide Apple additional time to figure out if there are any security guidelines that are needed to be changed or modified.

George Hotz Gets to Work for Facebook

The young programming whiz and hacker, George Hotz or Geohot, was hired by Facebook, according to the reports.

Hotz is the computer expert who came up with a means of cracking Sony Playstations. He was also indirectly the reason of hacker attacks on Sony that purchased its online gaming network to its knees, because of the serious handed legal bullying of Sony. He has a lot more sedate occupation working at Facebook.

It was corroborated from the company that the young hacker is already working there in Facebook. On the other hand, Facebook ended short of saying what he is up to.

Apple Wants to Get Rid of Jailbroken Devices

Even though it was newly judged to be a lawful procedure, Apple still does not wish for anybody to jailbreak their “i” strategy, and has applied for a copyright that would provide them the accuracy to “kill” jailbroken strategies, and “kill” stolen iPods and phones.

The copyright is titled “Systems and Methods for Identifying Unauthorized Users of an Electronic Device”, and it covers a quantity of safety events to “defend” strategy from “illegal users.” Those illegal users are jail breakers and individuals that have stolen strategy from other legit proprietors.
