The latest Flash rival is here, and strangely it came from Adobe itself. The company has opened Adobe Edge, presently in pre-beta, blending HTML5, JavaScript, CSS and more to make online animations and interactive gadgets. Described as building on the HTML5 output already present in Creative Suite 5.5, Edge makes HTML5-based content that will work not only in desktop browsers but also in mobile browsers like those found on iOS-based iPhone and iPad of Apple.
