Astronomers reported that a powerful gamma ray flashed first noticed by NASA in late March this year might have been the death clatter of a Sun-sized falling into a formerly inactive black hole and being torn apart.

According to a report posted online by the e ‘Science’, two groups of researchers from the University of California in Berkeley and the University of Warwick in England have concurred that the flashing light observed through the NASA Swift satellite on March 28 was in fact a black hole feeding on the unwary star that obtained too close.
