Samsung: Apple iPads Are Inspired by Sci-Fi Movies

Samsung said that Stanley Kubrick invented the iPad after searching through science fiction movies to try and defend itself from Apple’s patent lawsuit.

In an effort to argue the former art, the company cites 2001: A Space Odyssey as a pattern of tablet designs existing long before the iPad.

Latest filing of Samsung reads, “In a clip from that film lasting about one minute, two astronauts are eating and at the same time using personal tablet computers. The clip can be downloaded online at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQ8pQVDyaLo.”

Apple Patent Claim Gets Discarded by HTC

Primary smartphone manufacturer of Taiwan HTC released new copyright violation claims by US huge Apple as the official fight among the competitors rose.

Apple filed a protest versus HTC with the US International Trade Commission (ITC) which is by now reviewed three other arguments among the two or five cases connected to technology used in the iPad and iPhone.

It has as well wedged a suit in a US District Court in Delaware.
