President Obama provided his weekly Internet and radio address at Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania on Saturday.  He was involved in a display of mini-robots that could explore sewer and water pipes for cracks and leaks on Friday at Carnegie Mellon.  He specified that this kind of innovative technology can be the urge that renews the promise of US manufacturing.

IBM Connects to Other Universities

The prominent Watson computing system, IBM will be making history as it fights in a special version of quiz show Jeopardy! between previous champions Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter. The momentous man-machine match to be aired February 14-16 will show the stride completed in the development of the question answering (QA) technology that forms the backbone of the Watson computing system.
