Margarito is Preparing for His Fight

After promoter Bob Arum announced that there will be a fight between Manny Pacquaio and Antonio Margarito, Margarito’s camp started their training.

Robert Garcia, Margarito’s trainer, immediately started accumulating videos of Pacquiao’s fights. Since Garcia knew about the fight between Pacquiao and Margarito, he has been watching the videotaped fights of the Filipino fighter from the fighter’s knocked outs, wins, and losses, especially the one with Erik Morales in 2005.

Pacquaio-Margarito Fight is On

Pacquiao will fight against Margarito this November 13 as announced by Bob Arum. This is for the super welterweight championship that will be held either in Las Vegas or in Monterrey, Mexico.

Rumors have spread that Pacquaio will be matched against Mayweather Jr. anytime this year. But this news ended all the possibilities of a Pacquiao-Mayweather Jr. match.

It was only a choice between Margarito and Cotto. Since Cotto was defeated by Pacquiao in their fight, Arum chose Margarito because the viewers will be expecting another competitive fight if there will be another Pacquiao-Cotto match.
