Kudos to Apple Inc., which has achieved the “25-billion-apps-downloaded” target. As well as an even bigger congratulations to the person that will win the desired $10,000 App Store gift certificate for being the only one to made the coveted milestone possible.
The Cupertino-based company made the statement through a vibrant banner on its site recently, showing customers: “A billion thanks. 25 times over. The App Store has reached 25 billion downloads. Thanks for getting us there.”

I hope anyone haven’t grabbed Sony’s elegant Tablet S Android slate ahead of the holidays, simply because it is currentlya very nice $100 less expensive.
Beginning today, the Tablet S today starts at $399 for the 16gb model and $499 for the 32gb model, undercutting iPad 2 products with a full Benjamin. BlackBerry customers will be able to find out free of charge if there are $100 worth of applications which interest them.
By means of apology for the service failure that left countless Blackberry mobile phones customers all over the world with no service for about 72 hours last week, Research in Motion stated Monday it will give a $100 consumer credit for select applications in the online store.

Apple made another move to trademark the term “multi-touch” in the United States but unfortunately it has been denied. The decision was made by the United States Patent and Trademark Office dated from last week and was posted by MacRumors in their website. The governing body rejected this application citing that the term is simply describing how consumers interact with the products.

Research in Motion, the maker of BlackBerry reported a big drop of revenue on Thursday and said that it sold fewer tablets that they expected. The company’s shares fell down more than 19%.
The results show a struggle to compete with the big players like smartphones running on Google’s Android Operating System and Apple’s iPhone and increased pressure for BlackBerry’s long-promised new phone to be the next hit.
