Thursday, Lenovo unveils the details of its new tablet, the IdeaPad A1 Android tablet, with its very surprising price in the market – $199 only! Gets the attention in the crowded market right?
Right after HP lets the price go down of its WebOS TouchPad Tablet to $99, consumer went crazy in having one and getting a feel of it, which means a very strong market for cheaper tablets. Apple which sells its iPad with a minimum price of $499, other tablet makers enjoys the opportunity to conquer in the lower end – sad to say no one has been better than Apple’s iPad.
According to a Forrester Research analyst, the Amazon tablet could become the number two on the market by 2011 by with its $300 tab.
With this, Lenovo’s actions to sell the IdeaPad A1 for $199 is a great timing. The two features that this tablet boasts and makes it standout amongst the rest is its 1024 x 600 pixel resolution which is very sharp and the screen is capacitive touch. Other cheaper tablets have resistive screens which is not that responsive than a capacitive screen.
