In some cases legal cases are so ridiculous that you can just sit back, relax and have a good laugh. A lawsuit filed by a Frenchman towards Google after the search engine’s Street-View-vehicle captured the guy peeing in his front yard definitely falls in the stupid category. Even though the guy’s face had been blurred, he claims that fellow inhabitants of his community of around 3000 people in the Maine-et-Loire region of France identified him anyway.
Who knows if the people from the village identify the person due to his obvious penchant for public peeing more than a photo of him that has a blurry face on Google Street view. The person is suing the search giant for €10,000 in damages costing up to 13,300 in U.S. dollars. The frenchman claims he believed he was concealed from perspective with a closed gate while he urinated in his property last November 2010.
The guy says that this high point of view of the Google Street view camera surely could see over his fence and captured this photo. A French court will probably deliver a judgement on March 15.
Willl this man win?
