Al Gore, the environmental campaigner and vice president, gave a clue or maybe slipped the tongue about the launching of the new iPhone when he said it will be coming out next month.
Al Gore has been a board member of Apple for more than eight years, and this is the first time that he let the tiniest detail slip about the forthcoming product from Apple.
During Al Gore’s speech at the Discovery Invest Leadership Summit in South Africa, the former vice president uttered the the following words: “Not to mention the new iPhones coming out next month. That was a plug.”
This could be a confirmation or an indication that Apple is finally ready to sell out multiple iPhone models next month.
The comments added to the spreading rumors that Apple would release two new iPhone models in October. One is the expected and much awaited redesigned iPhone 5, and the other one would be the iPhone 4s that looks exactly like the previous iPhone 4 but with some features added.
The plug could have been referring to different models of iPhone which can vary on memory sizes and colors or this could just be another Apple strategy. Apple has been so silent about the iPhone 5 as the rumors spread.
